The weather’s heating up and to celebrate, The Star Gold Coast is inviting guests to enjoy The Funner Summer – a festival of fun-filled food, drink and entertainment activities. Here, we provide a guide on how to best celebrate the long-awaited sunshine, salty seas and good vibes that come with the warmer months.
There’s no doubt the Gold Coast truly shines in summer. From the glistening beaches and surf to the world-class events that take over one of Australia’s premiere tourist destinations, the Gold Coast is the perfect place for fun in the sun.
And, with hotels housing the thousands of international and domestic visitors that descend on Southeast Queensland in the warmer months, award-winning restaurants and bars, and world-class entertainment, The Star Gold Coast is right at the centre of the action.
With many fun activities to choose from throughout the warmer months on the Gold Coast, we’ve pulled together a guide to make it a Funner Summer at The Star, your ultimate one-stop dining and entertainment destination this summer.
Stop 1: A Fiesta on The Lawn
Enjoy a winning combination of good food and vibey tunes on The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar. In addition to enjoying a night of dancing under the stars to acoustic style live acts every week, on Tuesday and Thursday nights, you can also be treated to a South American-inspired menu filled with $12 margaritas, fresh tacos and $5 crispy fried veggie taquitos.
Stop 2: A Late Afternoon ‘Cin Cin’ at Cucina Vivo
For centuries, Italians have said cin cin, “cheers”, over drinks and appetisers in the early evening hours between work and dinner. This summer, The Star Gold Coast’s own signature Italian eatery, Cucina Vivo will be recreating the tradition, inviting you to enjoy balmy summer sundowners at the lobby bar Wednesday to Sunday evening, from 4pm. It’s the perfect spot to graze on a delicious antipasto board or woodfired pizza, sip a few Aperol Spritzes, and enjoy the DJ’s Café del Mar vibes with friends or family.
Stop 3: Sundowners at Isoletto Pool Club
The doors of The Star’s newest gem, Isoletto Pool Club will be opening up to the public for the first time every evening from 5pm til late this summer for Sundowners at Isoletto Pool Club. Giving locals access to Isoletto’s picturesque Pool Club and an exclusive Hendricks Gin pop-up bar, Sundowners at Isoletto Pool Club is an invitation to relax with a cocktail and chilled beats as you watch the sunset over the Gold Coast skyline. The Pool Club Bar will also be serving up a limited edition menu of fresh, fruity cocktails, and delicious snacks from arancini and burrata to ceviche and a selection of dips, and more, designed to share.
Stop 4: Seven Nights of Delights at Atrium Bar
One of The Star Gold Coast’s most iconic entertainment stages – Atrium Bar – is putting on live and free entertainment throughout summer. Those looking for fun will be able to enjoy the greatest hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s on Throwback Mondays, put their vocal cords to the tests on Rockaoke and of course laugh the night away with Comedy Club Wednesdays each week and party into the weekend with live music from some of the best local musical talent on Thursday to Sunday evenings.
So, what are you waiting for? The Funner Summer at The Star Gold Coast awaits. BYO: Sunnies and fun-loving attitude.
