4 Ways to Spend Your Late Check Out at The Star Gold Coast

Your hotel is booked, your suite is sorted. Now you just need to arrange your late check out and then you can start planning how you’ll spend it at The Star. Here are our favourite ideas.

There are so many things to do at The Star Gold Coast and so many ways to spend your visit here. That’s why we love a late check out: it gives you the freedom to cram in an extra special something. Think sparkly poolside sessions, indulgent spa treatments, delicious brunches to fuel a day of activities, or even just an epic sleep in. A late check out experience at The Star Gold Coast will leave you feeling revitalised and restored.

Here are four top ways to spend your next late check out when you stay with us…

1. Breakfast in bed

There’s nothing better than a lazy weekend morning spent waking up slowly in bed as you enjoy the sun peeking through the blinds of your hotel room. Nothing to do and nowhere to go – except towards the hotel room door where your breakfast will be delivered. Enjoy hopping back into bed and lounging around in your PJs as you indulge in a hearty or healthy breakfast: think bacon and eggs, fruit salad and toast, and coffee – always coffee.

2. Hit the pool

The Gold Coast is blessed by the sun lords and even in the heart of winter you can find sun worshippers lounging around the edge of The Star Grand pool. Case in point: Gold Coast lifestyle influencer @AshleyDobson. On her recent trip to The Star Gold Coast, where she starred in our video series, Late Check Out, the gorgeous weather saw Ashley enjoy a morning by the pool the day she checked out of her hotel room.

3. Brunch at Nineteen at The Star

If there’s one place to visit when holidaying or enjoying a staycation on the Gold Coast, it’s Nineteen at The Star. The rooftop restaurant at The Darling has a chic lounge bar, incredible views overlooking the Gold Coast skyline and one of the best boozy brunch menus around. Menu items include soufflé pancakes, ratatouille tart, eggs benedict, croque madame and steak and eggs. Oh and a two-hour champagne package. Have we got your attention now?

(PS: You’ll want to head to Nineteen at The Star for evening cocktails the night before your late check out. The bar opens at 4pm and some of Australia’s most notable DJs take control of the decks well into the evening.)

4. A luxurious spa morning

If it’s a truly restful and relaxing break you’re craving from your stay at The Star Gold Coast, then you won’t want to miss a visit to Azure Spa & Fitness. The day spa boasts six treatment rooms, including a couple’s space and an exclusive outdoor cabana. You can choose from indulgent facial therapies, luxurious spa rituals, couple’s massages and so much more. Byron Bay influencer @tropicaldream (Emmely Been) recently experienced a late check out at The Star Gold Coast and on her to-do list was a spa experience.
